Moondance is on a well-earned break during November, but just wanted to say “Howdy”! Lots of snow here, but also plenty of brilliant blue skies and sunshine. Colorado usually has 360 days a year of sunny, blue-sky days!
The Moondance 2020 CALL-FOR-ENTRIES will open for submissions on December 1st, 2019, so get your best work ready to send in to us. And, from December 1st through the 31st, the Early-Bird entry fee is only $25! Such a deal!

‘Rising Silence’ wins prestigious awards at Moondance and Asian Media Awards
Leesa Gazi’s documentary film, Rising Silence, recently won two prestigious accolades, Best Feature Documentary at the Moondance International Film Festival and Best Investigation 2019 at the Asian Media Awards.
“I have tried to show the unique life experiences and the real surroundings of Birangona women in Rising Silence,” explains Leesa. “Despite their sufferings and plight, these women are brave, resilient and loving. The film explores where their strength and fighting spirit to rise above the sufferings come from.”
The Moondance International Film Festival is one of the most important platforms in the world for promoting, encouraging, educating and rewarding non-violent conflict resolution in the arts.
