MOONDANCERS COME FROM AROUND THE WORLD!

Moondancers are part of an amazing worldwide community; a unique collaboration of multi-talented writers, film score composers and filmmakers. The Moondance mission is to entertain, inform, inspire, encourage and educate. We honor those artists who, through their creative work, actively increase awareness, provide multiple viewpoints, address complex social issues, and strengthen ties within the international community. At Moondance, artists can come together with other writers, composers, film directors and producers to create new opportunities, develop tools for success and forge new alliances within the international film and entertainment industry.

MOONDANCE RECOMMENDS:

The Pollinator Partnership’s mission is to promote the health of pollinators, critical to food and ecosystems, through conservation, education, and research. We help people protect pollinators to ensure healthy ecosystems and food security. http://pollinator.org/roadsides

  • Pollinators are essential to our daily life. Imagine a cup without coffee, a garden without flowers, or a plate without food. With the decline of pollinators, our food and clean air is on the line. More than 200,000 species of pollinators are critical to the growth of our food supply, including all the plants we eat, fruits & meat products, dairy products & so on. Even the sugar we consume in almost everything depends on pollinators. Without them, we would go hungry & there would be no trees or plants to clean the air we breathe. More than 1,000 of all pollinators are vertebrates such as birds, bats, and small mammals. Most (more than 200,000 species) are beneficial insects such as flies, beetles, wasps, ants, butterflies, moths and, of course: bees.
  • We are working to protect pollinators and their habitat with projects all over the North America and globally. Click HERE to see what local and regional initiatives are active near you.

Buffalo in Winter, photo by Ben Forbes for the WWF

“What is life? It is the flash of a firefly in the night. It is the breath of a buffalo in the wintertime. It is the little shadow which runs across the grass and loses itself in the sunset.” ~ Chief Crowfoot
