New Moondance Blog

Moondance has made some exciting changes in how we communicate with all our faithful subscribers. In an effort to more efficiently and effectively stay in touch with our competition entrants, participants, supporters and enthusiastic fans, we are switching from a traditional email newsletter format to a subscriber-based blog! This allows us to send you news, updates and important festival information on a more timely basis and ensure that the talented international community of Moondancers are as connected and as informed as possible. We love blogs!

We no longer collect email addresses via email requests for us to automatically subscribe individuals to our email distribution list. And we are updating our original mailing list. If you’ve been on the mailing list for a while, re-subscribing now is a confirmation that you wish to continue receiving our occasional newsletter/blogs. If you want to hear from Moondance, you must make sure you are subscribed in order to receive occasional news, info, notifications and announcements!

If you don’t want to receive Moondance emails and news from us anymore, please be sure to let us know by emailing us at director@moondancefilmfestival.com with ‘UNSUBSCRIBE” in the subject line, or by unsubscribing via the link at the bottom of any blog post update you receive by email. You’ll have the option to unsubscribe from the blog email communications at any time.

Here’s what you’ll get by subscribing:

  • The latest festival news, notifications and announcements
  • Competition entrants will get regular news about their submission’s status
  • Producers, directors, agents & others can see the list of winners & finalists
  • Read what Moondancers write us about
  • Moondance recommendations & tips for filmmakers, writers & composers
  • Thoughts for the day
  • Festival-attendees and friends of Moondance will learn all about the festival events, screenings,   workshops & networking parties
  • The annual call-for-entries information

* Special note to Moondance’s 2011 competition entrants: Moondance communicates with all competition entrants via e-mail. Your e-mail address has been added to our mailing list, and you’ll receive regular enewsletters with updates and more information about your submission status and about the film festival. We strongly recommend that you stay connected! If you change your e-mail address, please let us know right away.

Thanks for your continued interest in the Moondance!

Best regards,
Elizabeth English, Executive Director

Welcome to the Moondance Blog!

Moondancers are part of an amazing worldwide community; a unique collaboration of multi-talented writers, film score composers and filmmakers. The Moondance mission is to entertain, inform, inspire, encourage and educate. We honor those artists who, through their creative work, actively increase awareness, provide multiple viewpoints, address complex social issues, and strengthen ties between international audiences.

At Moondance, you can come together with other writers, directors and producers to create new opportunities, develop tools for success and forge new alliances within the international film and entertainment industry.

Moondance communicates with all competition entrants, festival participants, and other interested parties via email updates only. The Moondance emails are a courtesy to you, so you’ll receive the latest news about your submission status, and/or about the film festival. To ensure you receive up-to-date information about Moondance, please subscribe to this blog via the “Subscribe to the Moondance International Film Festival News” found in the right column. We will not share or sell your email address with any third parties, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
