PLEASE FOLLOW THESE ENTRY PROCEDURES:

1. Download and read the Submission Guidelines, Entry Forms and Release Forms.

OR submit your entry through Withoutabox.com.

2. Include a Logline of the Written or Filmed submission.

A logline is a short, approximately 25-word (in one or two sentences), description of the script, story or film.

3. Gather Submission Materials

Either a copy of the Screenplay, Play, Teleplay, etc. (Industry Standard Format), or a copy of the Short or Feature Film, (NTSC DVD, BLU-RAY or PAL).

Do not send film stills, promotional material or media release with your submission. If your film is selected for screening, we will request the stills at that time.

4. Include the Entry Fee (US bank check, international money order or international bank check in US$) with your submission, unless you've submitted and paid the entry fee via Withoutabox.coom. Please note the title of your submission on the check.

WHAT YOU NEED
TO KNOW ABOUT MOONDANCE:

As Moondance’s founder, executive director & artistic director, I have had the rare pleasure of personally previewing and judging every single film, reading all screenplays and other written works, and listening to all music and film scores submitted to the annual competition.

I have selected all the films to be screened and all the winners in every category, and have done so, successfully, from the very first Moondance, in 2000.

I do not travel to other film festivals looking for films to invite. In the rare event that a very special film is invited to be screened at Moondance, it is clearly labeled as “invited”, and it can have no chance of winning an award. Only submitted films have that opportunity.

When submitting your work to the Moondance annual competition, you can be 100% assured that it will be carefully previewed and judged fairly.

I went to Pitchfest in LA last weekend and pitched my screenplay. Four producers want to read the screenplay.
